Service Agreement
Communication
Discussion of expectations: We ask that you communicate your needs for services as clearly as you can, and we’ll provide you with a detailed list of services included in your customized cleaning package. If any services are not being rendered correctly, if the job is inadequate, if you have any concerns, any questions, anything at all, we truly have your best interest in mind. We want to know how to provide the service you’re looking for, so we ask that you speak with us about any discrepancies in the services rendered, according to your cleaning package, within 24 hours of the service being provided, so we can rectify the situation. If we aren’t aware of a problem, we can’t fix it. You do us a service by informing us. We truly have your best interest in mind. If you have good things to say about us, you are welcome to let us know on our google or yelp listings. We truly enJOY providing sustainable cleaning services to our customers.
Refunds:
Since Cleaning is a very personalized and subjective service, we cannot offer refunds to customers. However, we want you to be 100% satisfied with our services, so we offer our 24 hour Satisfaction Guarantee.
24 Hour Satisfaction Guarantee:
If the customer is not satisfied with the cleaning service, they must contact the service provider within 24 hours upon completion of services, and the service provider will return within 7 days of being contacted, to correct the issue at no additional cost.
Service Packages:
Service packages are available for purchase. The services included in the package depend on which package you choose. See www.monkeyjoyhousecleaning.com for what each package includes. Any changes to the cleaning package chosen by the customer needs to be noted in estimates/invoices. If these changes are not noted, the cleaner will follow service package instructions from the estimate/invoice form.
Minimum cost of service:
We have a minimum price point of $125.00. Any job, no matter the size, has a minimum price of $125.00.
Payment Card:
A Payment Card is required to be on file, but payments are accepted in the form of cash, check, or debit/credit card. If payment is made by check and the check does not clear the financial institution of the business, the client is responsible for a chargeback fee and the remaining amount due for the cleaning, which will automatically be charged to the card on file.
We are Licensed, Bonded, and Insured:
Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC is licensed, bonded, and insured, for the protection of both our customers and our cleaner(s). Please contact us within 24 hours of service, in the event there is damage to your property. For insurance information, contact Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC at (971) 410-7175.
Responsibilities of the Customer:
The customer must provide the cleaners with access to the cleaning address at the scheduled appointment window of time. This may be done in person, the customer may provide a key or a code for entry, or otherwise give instructions for entry/exit. Keys will be stored in a locked safe/a key safe box. Gate codes/Door codes will be stored in a password protected document. If the cleaner arrives at the service address, and cannot get in contact with the customer within 30 minutes of the appointment window start time, Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC has the right to charge the customer for 100% of that day’s service. Please let us know of any additional instructions: For example, any special instructions involving items in the home, pets, kiddos, areas to avoid cleaning/areas that need special attention, etc. If you have family heirlooms, or any other irreplaceable items, we do not clean those items. We do not clean/dust any items in china cabinets or similar enclosed spaces/drawers/cabinets. We want your most precious items/pieces to stay safe, and will not risk damaging your most treasured items. You are responsible for informing us of any such items/pieces that are at the service address. Cleaning inside of cabinets/drawers are only included in specialized cleaning plans (move in/out cleans), and spaces inside of cabinets/drawers will not be cleaned by Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC’s cleaners. We will only clean the top and sides of the cabinet/drawer’s surface, without fully opening these spaces.
Rescheduling policy:
A customer can call within 24 hours of the scheduled cleaning appointment time to reschedule the cleaning, with no consequences.
Cancellation Policy:
A customer may cancel a cleaning appointment within 48 hours of the appointment arrival window to prevent any service charges.
A fee of $27.00 is charged to the card on file if the cleaning appointment is canceled within 24 hours of the start time of the cleaning appointment.
For 4x/month clients: 1 cancellation is allowed per month. If a second cleaning is canceled in a given month, a charge of 50% of the scheduled cleaning will be applied on the day of the second missed cleaning appointment.
For 2x/month clients, 1 cancellation is allowed every other month. If a second cleaning is canceled in 2 month’s time, a charge of 50% of the scheduled cleaning will be applied on the day of the second missed cleaning appointment.
For 1x/month clients, 1 cancellation is allowed per every other month. If a second cleaning is canceled in 3 month’s time, a charge of 50% of the scheduled cleaning will be applied on the day of the second missed cleaning appointment.
If cancellations are occurring regularly, Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC has the right to change the service agreement and re-estimate, according to the customers needs.
Added Fees for Added Services
Added Fees will be applied when we receive requests to clean beyond the scope of the customers current cleaning plan.
Last Minute Cleaning Fee
A last minute cleaning fee of $50.00 will be added to any clients who book an appointment that has a start time window beginning within 24 hours of making the appointment.
Complaints:
We ask that any complaints be brought to our attention within 24 hours of service. We pride ourselves in a job well done, and want the chance to make it right. We do not offer refunds, but we will correct any mistakes. We are human, and we strive to give impeccable service, but we sometimes make mistakes or miss a spot, and we come back to correct the mistakes at no additional charge.
Pre-Clean-Up Agreement
Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC offers cleaning services. We dust, clean and disinfect surfaces, sweep, mop, and scrub. Please clean any toys, garbage, plates/cups, off the ground/surfaces that are to be cleaned by us. Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC has the right to charge $35.00 organization fee if we have to move more than 5 items away from areas we clean, in order to clean those areas. If you'd like to add organization as part of your services in general, please let us know, and we’ll add this to your cleaning plan.
Temperature in the working Environment:
Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC has the right to turn the thermostat to 74 degrees fahrenheit, while at the cleaning address, to keep the spaces the cleaner(s) are working in cool and to prevent the cleaner(s) from overheating during a cleaning.
Parking:
If there is no free public parking within 1 block radius of your home, our customers are responsible for providing our cleaning associates with any one of the following (which must be within a 1 block radius); a permitted parking space (personal or public), a valid parking permit, or cover all parking fees incurred while cleaning your home. If a parking spot cannot be found within a 1 block radius by the cleaning associate nor provided by the customer within a 15 minute window, your appointment will be canceled/and or rescheduled. In the event that this occurs you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
Client Termination:
The client may terminate services at any point. The service provider has the right to terminate services at any point, including but not limited to threatening behavior towards a staff member of Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC, an unsafe work environment, non-payment, and limiting service areas.
For Tough Stains:
Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC prides their work in the area of sustainability. Sometimes we come across stains/grout lines/burnt on food in the oven/on the stove, grime stuck in window tracks, or in crevices in the home. We do our very best to accomplish the cleanest clean we can, while remaining true to our sustainability practices, practices of chemical-free cleaning, and the use of non-toxic, and low waste cleaning solutions. We come back to these areas on our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th visits. Sometimes we can get these areas much cleaner over time, but sometimes, we are unable to completely clean some areas, and will make that known to our customers when that occurs.
Photography Permission:
The client gives Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC permission to take pictures to ensure quality; however, permission will be obtained by the client before sharing pictures for business use, including on the business website(s), or social media. We take client confidentiality very seriously and do not share photos without permission nor do we mention the client's name.
Customers in the residence during a clean:
Excluding a first time clean, we prefer to clean when residents of the home are not present, so we can avoid intruding upon anyone else’s space. On the other hand, we do appreciate doing a walkthrough of the home during our first visit, and love having communication with the customer during a first time clean, just to ensure we’re attending to customer’s cleaning preferences. We understand that not all customers have the schedule/ability/or trust enough in us to be in the home alone, but we do ask that even if customers are in the residence during a clean, that they be in another room of the home, so our cleaning does not intrude upon residents in the space we’re cleaning. We are fully licensed, insured, and bonded, and you can trust that if anything in the home is damaged/broken/stolen, we have these protections here to keep all of us safe. Your space and your home are of value, and we truly don’t want to get in your way while we’re cleaning your home. Please work with us as we come into your home to clean, we truly want to offer the most sustainable, pristine clean you’ve ever seen, and these practices help us do just that.
Pets:
We ask that during the time cleaners are present, any animals be kept outside, in another room, in a crate, or otherwise kept from disturbing the cleaning crew from their work. We love all the furry friends, but want to focus on the job we’re here to do, and sometimes the pets can be a distraction.
Children:
We also love children, and would love to spend our time playing with them, but ask that any children be attended to by the parent(s), and kept away from areas the cleaner(s) are currently cleaning in, so the cleaner(s) can focus on their cleaning jobs.
Safe Working Conditions:
Monkey Joy House Cleaning reserves the right to terminate service at any time. This will be documented and you may be required to pay the cost of services in full.
Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC will not be responsible for cleaning any human waste/bodily fluids or any hazardous materials, including, but not limited to fecal matter, urine, vomit, asbestos, lead-based paint, or mold.
Termination of Services Due to Bugs in the Home:
Monkey Joy House Cleaning LLC reserves the right to terminate service if bed bugs, lice, or other related bugs are encountered and charge the whole cleaning fee.
Services We Do Not Offer:
We do not offer hazardous waste, chimney, fireplace, or furnace work, cleaning or work on restaurant vents, or asbestos abatement.
We do not move furniture that cannot be easily moved by one cleaner.
Waste Disposal
We remove waste from the home by replacing garbage bins in kitchen and bathroom(s) by taking the garbage out to the dumpster or garbage can on site, but we do not remove trash from the property. We carry only cleaning supplies and equipment in our vehicles, and do not offer garbage removal services.
Our Referral Program:
We thrive through word of mouth referrals. If you refer someone to us, who hires our services, you will get your next cleaning for 10% off.
